Kwikset and in Canada the Weiser SmartKey Locks fail / malfunction at an alarming rate. This customer attempted to remove all the door lock hardware and find a replacement lock. The customer called us to replace or fix the lock.

I keep a dozen or more replacement cylinders in stock. I do not like the SmartKey locks because they are unreliable but in this case all the townhouses had the same style and finish locks.

Easy replacement but “no guarantee or warranty” with me on any Weiser or Kwikset Products.
